Ok, it might have been a little ambitious to do for a first project, I had never picked up a rug hook in my life. The pattern was not exactly as pictured. There was flowers on the bowl and legs on the bowl that were a surprise but did them anyway. The peach color, shading was by far the hardest to do. I ended up using chenille which actually gave it some fuzzy texture. My friends at arts and crafts were surprised by what I accomplished on my own. At 71 you don't have time to waste, just jump in and do it. I am pretty happy with the results. The back is a mess, my fault, didn't know that you ended a piece on the top, so there are a lot of bits in back. No matter i will cover those sins with fabric.
Great job! You're right that sometimes the completed rug is different from the pattern template - it's up to the rug hooker to apply their creativity to the design! We often struggle when choosing between different completed versions, since many rug hookers modify the design their tastes and desires. This rug caught my eye and I just had to have it. I will be starting it soon, after I decided if I want to hook it or punch needle it.
Haven't had a chance to start it yet. Chicory is my favorite flower ( my see only a weed), but I love them. Thanks for doing this pattern.
P.S. would love to see a rocket ship/ shuttle. My grandson is space 🤪 crazy.
While it took me awhile to complete, i still love it as much as when I started it. I researched photos for every animal and used those as reference. There is a bolder in my community a lot like the on 'Mama' bear is standing on. It’s also my first attempt of dyeing yarn for edges. What a joyful and rewarding project.
This was such a fun pattern to do. I used wool I had dyed and was in my stash and my quilting color wheel for choices.
The pattern itself is perfectly made. All lines are in the ditch that need to be. Can’t wait to take a class to hook it.
The pattern is excellent. I used it for a landscaping class at Sauder Village.
You all rocked the customer service. The cutter head I wanted was out of stock but you contacted me immediately when you found one! Thanks you!
Great pattern to work with however it wasn’t a primitive modern style. I would have preferred it to be a small car that would look beautiful, but that’s my opinion.
The pattern for great enjoyed every one of them, and I’m sure I will finish every one of them. Thank you for providing us great choices.
A lovely crewel piece that includes many opportunities to work different crewel stitches. Well printed on good linen.
This is a great challenge for a geometric. It looks symmetrical without actually being totally symmetrical. Takes a lot of planning.
I love this pattern. Had done the small one and was looking forward to doing this one. The linen is great and the pattern is clear.
It’s a great pattern to practice fine shading.
I was concerned about purchasing a used cutter head, but it works very well. Thanks
I purchased Tom, Pete, Norm and Pat Zel is the only one I need for my collection. I love all the patterns available.
I love this fall piece and varying colors.
Fun piece to do, could be any season. Class in choosing colors and light source.
I love scrolls, but what a challenge. You have to start thinking 'out of the box' . Just pic colors and go.
Fun piece to use creativity. Totally enjoyed
This is such an adorable pattern. Its drawn the linen very well, tru to grain. I honestly can't wait to get started on this.
