Louis Wain was a British artist most known for his drawings of cats. He started his career as a freelance artist, drawing for magazines and books in the 1880's. His early works included landscapes and animals. These rug hooking patterns are inspired by Wain's collection of whimsical and anthropomorphic cat drawings.
