Many of our patterns are hand-printed to order, and typically ship within 1 to 2 weeks. During the April through October workshop season, production can take approximately 4 to 5 weeks before shipping. 1095: Dutchess Crewel

I received the Dutchess Crewel pattern in the time frame expected. Yesterday we color planned the pattern and it has sharp lines easy to see the pattern. The pattern looks like a fun rug to hook.

Duchess Half-Round pattern - crewel

The pattern was nicely drawn with wide borders. My only complaint is that it took so long to arrive. My teacher, Cindy Irwin, needed to email the company to ask them to please send it as I was to use this for her class. I have heard the owner's teenagers are assigned the drawing of the patterns and this concerns me about the resulting quality. I'm really tired of sloppy work from this company.

Thank you for your review! I am glad you approve of the new patterns. I have heard from many of our long-time customers that the quality is much improved. The most incredible resource in this business has been the support and guidance (and occasional prodding), from talented teachers like Cindy Irwin! I personally straighten, hand draw and serge (with a wide stitch) each pattern. Occasionally, one of my helpers will draw with me, closely supervised (usually on large sized patterns). Helpers are mending and cleaning old patterns, organizing back up patterns, and mailing out orders. We have noted that the expected delivery of an order is 2-6 weeks because of the time it takes to complete each project. Hopefully, as our second year begins, things will run a bit quicker in 2015!
